I hate therefore I am.

Once I use to consider hatred as a negative feeling. Now from certain latest happenings in my own life, I understand that it is not. Sometimes you need to hate, just as a balancing act.
Learning to hate itself is a liberating experience. Being diplomatic is a euphemism for hypocrisy. It is rather acceptable if it is between two nations, because the numbers of stake holders involved are high. At an individual level you should never practice it, because you will end up having neither any real foe nor any real friend. All that you will have is a lot of acquaintances and unmanageable amount of shallow relationships. If you don’t have any real enemies until your death, I am very sure that you compromised with your life. Remember ‘forgiving is divine’. So leave it to Him only. Judge actions of people and don’t fake friendliness, If they are out of sync with your principles and value system, just avoid them for god sake. You need to be selfish to that extent. Don’t keep a relationship under hold, hoping a change in their behavior or the worse praying for one.
Love thy soul; hate all those who corrupt it. Keep away from your enemies. Keep them at one arm distance. Overlooking their existence doesn’t make them non-existent. Just wipe them out of your mind as wiping them out of your vicinity need violence and violence is what you should hate the most. But you may ask how you can avoid irritants who keep on charging at you. Don’t you need to confront them? Well as of now I don’t have a clear answer, but if you grow really fast, stray dogs usually find you aloof. So for practicing hatred you need tremendous all-round growth.

In my case, the seeds of diplomacy were sowed in my early childhood itself and now it is trying to bloom. I am trying very hard to suppress it. I think hatred is the most underrated and misunderstood emotion. It is emotion of action… Hail the hatred, Hail its prerequisite The Growth. Oh dear…If I fail to hate a devil, how I can love an angel…

Neermathalam,

"Love thy soul; hate all those who corrupt it"

But will it get corrupt without your knowledge?

hmmm..

Love thy soul; hate all those who corrupt it.

just about says it all. but hate is a strong word. keeping away from people who woudl do you harm, yes that IS imperative..but I see hate as something active, dynamic in a negative way. it takes energy, thoughts of hate, revenge etc.., that could wellbe spent in a more positive way, to your benefit.

ignoring completley all that is negative to you..would that be considered hate? :)

what is false needs to be classified as false, to be pointed out.... we have too many people nowadays saying everything goes, and that

@alex
Yes sometime even without your knowledge even without your permission....
say for example a betrayal..is it with your permission...
@mystic...
The way u thought...was my line of thought a few days before...now I feel indiscrimination is dangerous than discrimination...Yes i used the word hate...and poor 'hate' is really a misused emotion..i just wanted to shed its negative image.:)
Love is acceptance and hate is rejection...I meant it to that extend only..no revenge and all those conotations...hate as a positive emotion...that is what i wnated to potray...

yeah. i thought so.

and yes, i get it.

when people say open minded, i often wonder to what?
being permissive in this everything goes age needs a limit.
otherwise we would be destroying the fabric that holds us together, even though we dont measurably see it.

I think this line beautifully summarizes the line of thought this piece presents.

However, somewhere hypocrisy and hatred got interwined and like another reader here, reading [Love thy soul; hate all those who corrupt it],I have to comment the following:

well, isnt hatred in itself a negative emotion? yes, I read your reply to the comment...u r trying to potray hate as a positive emotion :O HOW??rejection in itself is a choice someone makes, its not positive or negative.....effects maybe but the action in itself isn't. I believe, no one who elicits hatred or similar emotions are worth the time....life is far too short anyway to be spent on negativity.
On hypocrisy...I agree, a much favored yet a futile ,fake disposition. The world would be so much better without it!!

having said that, a very interesting read indeed!

People are sticked to the dogmatic stands that..being extroverted in always better than being introverted....unconditional love is supreme...and hatred is bad.

I just wanted to throw a light on the other aspect of hatred...that it is not always bad..I would.anyday rate hatred positive when compared to indiscriminate love. And it is very personal observation.yes the origin you chose make a thing negative or positive.Because i feel I am not mature enough to offer love unconditionally.talking about it or writting about it is easy but practising it is damn tough. damn very tough.....

If I am asked to summarse the piece of thought expressed by the passage I would be having two choices one is the one you chosed...
The other one "If I fail to hate a devil, how I can love an angel…"
because for me...love and hate are complementary emotions...You can deny it at your peril...!!!!

And thanks a lot for teh thoughful comment....you just made me think deeper..I often write something spontaneously..and often..when you peopel come with...different perspective...it make me sit down and think more... thanks...

I notice you haven`t posted in a long time. Have you stopped, or just taking a rest for a while?
Hate is a word that my parents never liked hearing. I grew up never learning to hate, but to disapprove of some things I am guilty of. I learned if I didn`t like someone, no need to hate them, can just stay away from them. Now, Love is what I consider the most important word in any Language. It can bring both happiness and pain, but where would we be if it didn`t exist? Life would sure be lonely without any love in it.

Hmmm...betrayal corrupts the soul only when we expect something and we feel betrayed as it did not happen...

I was just condemning indiscriminate love. But absence of love also is not enough at sometimes..that is just indifference. There you need hate.
A different thought that is all...

Can we be so detached that we expect nothing. We expect our mind to expect nothing...but rarely that expectation of ours get fullfilled..;)
